Make sure    that the edge of the pond is the same level all around
Next             the pond is full  cut the liner to fit
First             dig a hole the size and shape you want your pond to be
When            line the hole with damp sand
Finally           put stones around the edge  of the pond to complete it
After             that put the liner liner in the pond and fill it  with water
